About Us Bike Building Paint by Us-Bikes Paint by Us-Trucks Trike Gallery Crew Whats New Links/Contact Us

Hi........

In this section we will keep you up to date with what is happening in the workshop.

15-06-2010

Again it has been over a year since the last update.

So ill take it from the bulldog bash.

Finished the trike roller for a lad in Dublin.

He is going to do the rest of the build himself.

Then it will be coming back down for paint.

We got another trike in to do a total re build on it.

It had a Yamaha fj 1200 motor and a big ugly frame

We had to cut off the rear of the frame and make a whole new front half

And also fit in a 1400 suzuki intruder motor.

Make up a new seat, new pipes, a new tank dash and a lot of other bits and pieces.

The diff was turned upside down, so the trike wouldn’t drive in reverse.

We also painted the frame to match the original custom paintwork.

A few photos here.

In march we took five bikes over to france

To the pequencourt bike show. organised by the well known French builder

Nicolas. Chauvin.

Also at the show were lin and vic from destiny cycles

And larry and family from lamb engineering

We had a great weekend

The organisers really looked after us very well.

Right now it’s the start of june

and we are flat out busy,

we have two complete ground up chops to build for clients

and a lot of other bikes coming in for small mods.

Myself don and mick are trying to build three new bikes for the AMD show

Next year.

The first is in London, then the week after it’s the Dublin show

All going well one of them will hopefully win the trip to Sturgis

Well its only eight months since the last update
We’re getting good at this
Anyway we got three of the four bikes finished for the rds/amd bike show
Delighted to say don’s bike won,
Which means that he has won the trip to Sturgis
and entry into the amd custom bike show.
Mick’s bike won best low rider at the Dublin show
and as we finished building the third bike in our stall at the show
It wasn’t entered in the competition.

We rebuilt another trike early in the year
I’ll get a few pics of it up soon.Last month we all went over to England
To the bulldog bash custom bike show
I brought over Micks bike as he was over in Sturgis with don
His bike won best American in the show. Later on in the evening Mick called from America
To say that don had won first place in his class at the rats hole show
He came in 18th place in the freestyle class and 4th place in the metric class at the amd show
Major piss up was held that night at the bulldog

We also bumped into Lin and Vic Jeffers of destiny cycles at the bulldog again this year
They won best in show and a few more prizes as well
Probably the best custom bike builders in the UK
In my humble opinion anyway
(And I’m usually right)

Now we are all fired up and ready to start building again.
I have a trike frame to finish next week
Then we’re going to start Tim’s new sportster project.
I’m still collecting parts for my next bike
I might be able to start it as soon as Tim’s bike comes off the jig

That’s it for now
I’ll try not let it go on for so long the next time

Ger.

At last a new update, and it’s only been about 20 months since the last one.
Last update we were just getting back to normal after Mick won the bike show in Dublin.
We finished what other little jobs needed to be done on the bike,
He rode it around for the summer, and then it was packed in a box and sent off to Sturgis.
It didn’t win anything there, but we had a really good time.
I finally got my ould shovel back on the road
Only took me about eight years.
Theres a few photos of it here somewhere.
At the moment we are trying to build four new bikes for the AMD bike show in
Dublin next march.
Don’t think we will get all four of them done,
Hopefully we might manage three.

Its now the middle of March 2007
and im just getting back to
normal working hours again.
Got nothing done all last week because I had a lousy cold.
The weekend before that we were all up in Dublin at the RDS bike show,
I’m more than happy to say we won the AMD Irish championship of custom bike building with Micks shovel custom, which means are off to America in august to compete for the AMD world championship title.

The few weeks before the show were the busiest we have ever been.
We had four bikes to get finished for the show,
we also had a display stand at the show where we were doing a bike building deminstration.
We assembled it on Saturday and striped it down again that evening,
then on Sunday we rebuilt it again.
We couldn’t do any welding or other heavy work on the stand because of insurance,
but we videotaped the building and painting of the four bikes for the previous few months, we were then able to show the footage on a big screen on our stand.

A really busy time but it was all worth it in the end.

Here are a few pics of the bikes.

A few pics of Tim's chop.

(General) Mick's Evo chop finaly finished.

Mick (the champs) bike.

MICK(THE CHAMPS) SHOVEL CUSTOM

We have some more work to do on micks shovel,
a small bit more paint, fit the flamethrower kit, and make a set of handlebars,
then ride the shit out of it.
See ye at the rallies.

A few people have asked are we changing the name of the business to kaos kustoms?
A bit of a mix up there! kaos is belong to a friend of mine, he was giving out some business cards on our stand over the weekend.
We are still C&C CHOPPERS.

THAT’S ALL FOR NOW
GER.

96” S&S PIRANA SOFTAIL CHOPPER

THIS BIKE WILL BE FOR SALE WHEN FINISHED
IT’S THE FIRST TIME THAT I EVER BOUGHT A FRAME TO BUILD A BIKE AROUND, I WOULD NORMALY MAKE MY OWN, BUT AFTER SEEING THIS FRAME IN THE PRO-1 SHOP I HAD TO BUY IT, THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE NICEST FRAMES THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME, BUT IT HAS TO GO TO FINANCE THE NEW PROJECT.
I COULD HAVE BOUGHT EVERYTHING OFF THE SHELF FOR THE BIKE
BUT I HAD TO MAKE A FEW ONE OFF PARTS
I GUESS THE WHOLE IDEA OF HAVING A CUSTOM BUILT BIKE IS THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS THE SAME AS YOU HAVE,
AT LEAST NOW NO OTHER BIKE ANYWHERE HAS THE SAME SADDLE,PIPES, BARS,AND FRONT WHEEL AS THIS ONE HAS.

IT HAS A BRAND NEW 96” POLISHED S&S MOTOR
POLISHED SIX SPEED GEARBOX
3XI/4” OPEN BELTDRIVE WITH OUTRIGGER BEARING SUPPORT
PRO-1 12” OVER FORKS
PRO-1 CHROME SLABS
PRO-1 PIRANA 250 SOFTAIL FRAME
PRO-1 OIL TANK,
PRO-1 REAR FENDER, RESHAPED AND WELDED TO THE FRAME.
16”X 9” 120 SPOKE ALL STAINLESS STEEL REAR WHEEL,
17”X 4” 120 SPOKE ALL STAINLESS STEEL FRONT WHEEL,
WEST COAST CHOPPERS PETROL TANK WITH POP-UP CAP,
CHROME BILLET 9 X 5” STRECHED HEADLIGHT
CHROME BILLET SIDE MOUNT REAR LIGHT& NUMBER PLATE HOLDER.
BILLET FORWARD CONTROLS,
CHROME FRONT BRAKE CALLIPER,
TOLLE / ISR REAR BRAKE DISC / SPROCKET
STAINLESS STEEL BRADED BRAKE, OIL LINES, AND CABLES
CHROME ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS,

EVERYTHING IS NEW

THE ONE OFF PARTS MADE BY OURSELVES ARE

REAL LEATHER SOLO SADDLE,
HANDLE BARS,
STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST PIPES,
THE FRONT WHEEL,
AND LOTS OF OTHER SMALL BITS AND PIECES ALL OVER THE BIKE,

THE FINISH ON THE BIKE WILL BE A TRUE FIRE PAINT JOB,
ITS TAKING ME ALMOST TWO YEARS TO GET THIS TECHNIQUE RIGHT
I THINK I FINALY HAVE IT.

ANYONE INTERESTED GIVE ME A CALL.
