Hi........ It has been over six months since the last update to the site, I know we have been really busy, but that’s no excuse. Ok then this is what’s been happening in our lives. Last September me and two other friends went over to California to attend the bike builder’s boot camp. As good a place as any to pick up some hints and tips about building custom bikes. I have to say we didn’t learn anything new, but it was good to be there anyway, we also met some really good people, all into the same thing as ourselves. Our main reason for going was to make some new contacts, and to buy a shit load of custom parts from pro-one for the new projects. So here are the first few pics of one of the new bikes. It’s got a polished 1340 shovel motor, with s&s heads and oil pump, A polished four-speed box and 3” belt drive. Pro-one chrome billet wheels, 250 on the rear and a 21” out front. Pro-one 10” over forks and yokes. The frame and swing arm we are building here in the workshop. It’s going to have air ride suspension when finished. Ill get some more pics up soon. The evo chop we have been building is almost finished. It just needs wiring, brakes and some graphics. The frame, all the body work, pipes, bars, saddle, oil tank, ect,, Are all built by ourselves here in the workshop.   This month we brought a few bikes up to Dublin To the AMD European championship of custom bike building, One of our entry’s won best paint. Next year we’ll have some mad looking bikes up there. The summer is on the way so I must get my old shovel up and running again, It’s hard to find the time because it’s so busy at the moment. Hi..... Well the summer is almost over, We are still working on micks shovel custom. That’s when time and money allows We are trying to build it on a tight budget, All the bling parts from pro 1 are slightly blemished in some way, most of the time it’s hard to tell. I guess they have a very high standard over there. So we are making almost all the other parts in the workshop. The pipes are almost finished, so is the oil tank. I just started on the petrol tank this week. The orange evo Swedish style chop has been out for a few test runs The rear brake calliper looks neat but it’s useless. We will have to change it for a bigger one. Then strip it down for the flames and graphics. My old shovel is still sulking in the corner, I can’t find time to bring it back to life. Maybe ill find time in the winter. We finished a Harley kit trike a few weeks back. The kit arrived in from America with no instructions and a lot of bolts the wrong size. A set of wide wheels were ordered from Steve Taylor in Wales, Which ment we had to cut and widen the body to suit them. We made a set of stainless pipes and a rear bumper to the owners spec. Fitted a reverse kit to the gearbox, new forks and callipers. And a lovely bright paintjob. Nice to have some room in the workshop again. Its now the middle of March 2007
and im just getting back to
normal working hours again.
Got nothing done all last week because I had a lousy cold.
The weekend before that we were all up in Dublin at the RDS bike show,
I’m more than happy to say we won the AMD Irish championship of custom bike building with Micks shovel custom, which means are off to America in august to compete for the AMD world championship title.

The few weeks before the show were the busiest we have ever been.
We had four bikes to get finished for the show,
we also had a display stand at the show where we were doing a bike building deminstration.
We assembled it on Saturday and striped it down again that evening,
then on Sunday we rebuilt it again.
We couldn’t do any welding or other heavy work on the stand because of insurance,
but we videotaped the building and painting of the four bikes for the previous few months, we were then able to show the footage on a big screen on our stand.

A really busy time but it was all worth it in the end.

We have some more work to do on micks shovel,
a small bit more paint, fit the flamethrower kit, and make a set of handlebars,
then ride the shit out of it.

A bit of a mix up there! kaos is belong to a friend of mine, he was giving out some business cards on our stand over the weekend.
